Obituary of Mark Anthony Delie

 

Mark Anthony Delie, age 61, passed away suddenly Wednesday August 23, 2023 at home in Clearwater, Florida. Mark was born April 23, 1962 in Detroit, Michigan and resided in Macomb County until he relocated to the “Sunshine State of Florida” in 2020.He was predeceased by his parents, Judith Ann (Ayres) Delie and David L. Delie and his younger sister Kathleen Ann (Delie) Grover. Mark is survived by his loving wife Sandra (Clark) Delie, of Clearwater, FL and his siblings Darlene Delie Hernalsteen (Louie DiVergilio) of Washington, MI, David (Shari) Delie, Jr. of Washington, MI, Christine (Delie) Kitchen of Clearwater, FL, along with his many nieces and nephews, cousins and life-long friends.

Mark attended University Liggett School in Grosse Pointe Woods and recieved a Bachelors degree the University of Michigan and his Masters from University of Southern Illinois. He joined the U.S. Army and served his country doing Military Intelligence until his honorable discharge. He worked for a local plumbing contractor doing various duties until his disability.

Mark’s hobbies and passions included hunting, fishing, his beloved cats, playing online games, WWII history and watching James Bond movies and old John Wayne westerns. He also enjoyed reading J.R.R. Tolkien books as well as watching them on film.

Mark will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts.
