Obituary of Sylvia L Cutliffe

Sylvia Cutliffe, 87, passed away peacefully with family at her side on July 28th, 2023 at The Oaks of Clearwater Nursing Home.

Born and raised in Maine, she graduated from Rockland High School in 1954. She was Queen of the 1955 Rockland Lobster Festival where she met Jack Cutliffe, a Maine Maritime Academy cadet escort. They married two years later and celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 2007, the year before Jack’s passing.

Sylvia is survived by her sons and their wives Glenn and Donna, Jason and Temara; grandchildren Brittany, Glenn, Gaby, and Jack; and great grandchildren Dawson and Luna.  

A devoted wife and mother, Sylvia was the beating heart of her family.  She loved the ocean and family summers on Branch Lake. Her beautiful smile and charm will be remembered by all who knew her.
