Obituary of Madeline Newcomb

Madeline Newcomb, born on August 30, 1954, passed away on November 26, 2022, in St. Petersburg, FL. She is survived by her husband, Rick Newcomb; children, Kelly (Scott) Renner and Ian (Katelyn) Newcomb; grandchildren Anna, Bradley and Noa; brothers, Barney (Peggy) Rapp, Gary (Kathleen) Rapp, and John (Carolyn) Rapp; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.  Preceding her in death were her parents, Raymond and Helene Rapp and her brother Don Rapp.

Madeline was born and raised on the island of Galveston, TX.  She attended O’Connell High School where she met some of her best friends.  She recently enjoyed attending her 50th high school reunion and had the best time catching up with everyone in her class.  She loved to cook, play tennis, horseback ride, and spend her days on the water.  She loved animals and they loved her, she could never leave a stray or stranded animal when it crossed her path. She especially loved her quaker parrot, Cooper, whom she spoiled rotten.  Anyone that truly knew her, knew she had a big heart and an infectious smile and laugh.

She was a fighter and we take comfort in knowing that Madeline is now at peace surrounded by light.
