Obituary of Joseph DeFaria

Joseph "Ze or Faria" De Faria, 94, of Clearwater passed away July 17th, 2022 at his home in Eustis, Florida. Born and raised in Maua, São Paulo, Brazil. He later relocated his family to Chicago, IL where he started a new life in America. He was deeply proud to be an American Citizen.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesuino and Olga De Faria; his beloved wife Odette Porto De Faria; his son Luis Francisco De Faria; and his oldest daughter Maria Olga Spalanzani.

Joseph is survived by his daughters Marisa Bianchini; Marcia De Faria; and Tania Mediato; siblings Antonia Beach and Alice Barzuco; grandchildren Julio and Katia Spalanzani; Thomaz and Danieli Bianchini; Jonathon and Melina De Faria; Jaqueline, Tatiana, and Luciane Mediato; great-grandchildren Adrianni, Ana, Isabel, Laura, Giseli, Miah, Arthur, Micheal, and Isabela.

Joseph was a very proud, hard-working, resourceful, and loving man. He was the first to offer any form of assistance to anyone that needed it and never expected a thing in return. By his example he taught us the importance of honesty, pride, and respect; to do the right thing always; and live life to its very fullest. He loved his family more than anything in this world and showed us all every day. He was known to always dress well and for the occasion. He never left home without his “boné” (cap in Portuguese). His beautiful smile, charming spirit, and wonderful (often entertaining) tales from his life’s journey and adventures will be remembered by all who knew him. His love of a good joke (but not too dirty) will never be forgotten. He truly touched so many people’s lives with his loving heart, kindness, and generosity.

Joseph’s memorial service will be Friday, July, 22nd, 2022, with visitation starting at 9 am to 11 am at the A Life Tribute Funeral Care Home, immediately followed by the Funeral Burial service at Calvary Catholic Cemetary.
