Obituary of William C Erickson

William Charles Erickson, 89, passed away from this life on Tuesday, July 6, 2021. He was born June 13, 1932. He was the son of the late Raymond C and Mildred (Reed) Erickson.  William served in the Korean War in the Army.

 

On November 8, 1952 he married Georgia (Plautz) Erickson. They had 68 wonderful years of marriage. William was an amazing husband, father, grandfather and  friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He enjoyed his time ice fishing for that BIG WALLEYE on the Willow Flowage.  He also enjoyed the many trips to Vegas, Biloxi, or the Hard Rock casino.  Always trying to hit the Big One! 

 

William’s love of his life, Georgia, preceded him in death on March 5, 2021 and their oldest son Gary Erickson of Largo, FL, passed away June 30, 2001. He was also preceded in death by his oldest sister Jean (Erickson) Burger on November 20, 2015. Survivors include his daughter, Cynthia (Rodney) Schroeder of Largo, FL, sons Michael Erickson, Largo, FL, Craig (Jenny) Erickson Wausau, WI, grandchildren Shane (Kris) Schroeder of Minneapolis, MN, Shannon (Daniel) Turzinski of Marshfield, WI, Dustin Erickson of Weston, WI, Brooke (Jeremiah) Hart of St. Charles, IL, six great grandchildren, and his sister Janet (Erickson) Schlueter of  Wausau, WI.

 

Graveside Service at Bay Pines National Cemetery will be a private service for family only.
