Obituary of Dolores Helen Leslie
LESLIE, Dolores Helen (Dee), 91, of Clearwater, Florida, formerly of St. Petersburg and Venice, Florida, passed away February 2, 2021. She was born in Akron, Ohio on October 31, 1929, to James Edward and Helen Bertha (Pangburn) Meagher and came to Florida in 1948. She graduated from St. Mary’s Catholic School, Akron. Dolores was a devoted wife and mother to her family. Along with being a homemaker, she worked at Cress Leather, St. Petersburg, FL and as an Administrative Assistant for Leslie, Hicks, Strayer & Associates, Inc., Venice, FL. She enjoyed oil painting, ceramics, cooking, sewing, home decorating, gardening, swimming, fishing and boating. Dolores loved and lived her faith. She taught that faith to our family and helped convert the heart of her husband, our wonderful stepfather, who converted to Catholicism. They evangelized the good news through their Church as Prayer leaders, Eucharistic Ministers, Marriage Encounter Leaders and by simply sharing the joy in their hearts through a smile to all they encountered. She will truly be missed.
Dolores is survived by her beloved husband of 48 years, Charles E. Leslie; daughters, Marsha Blattner (Michael), Diana Quinlivan (Michael), sons, Paul Roberts (Gena) and Jeffery Roberts (Ceci); 22 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, 20 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Luther Paul Roberts, her parents, sister, Rosemary Labbe, brother, James Meagher, and son and daughter-in-law, James C. Roberts (Judy).
