Obituary of Judith Rae Kazukietas

Judith Rae Kazukietas (Pletcher), 75, of St. Petersburg, FL, died peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, December 10, 2020.  She was born on November 24th, 1945 in Niagara Falls, NY.  She is survived by her sons, Steven (Linda) and James (Leigh Ann) and her four grandchildren (Ethan, Ella, Kadin and Carter).  She was predeceased by her son John.

Judy spent the majority of her life in Niagara Falls, NY where she raised her boys, worked hard and enjoyed the company of her neighbors and many close friends.  She spent her free time supporting her sons’ passion for ice hockey.  First as a “Hockey Mom”, then as a board member and director of Grand Niagara Youth hockey for several years.  When Judy moved to Florida in 2005, no one was surprised as she always loved the sun and warmth.  She eventually retired happily by the pool.

Judy’s greatest joys in life were her family and friends.  Being a grandmother meant the world to Judy, as her four grandchildren were truly the light of her life.  Judy was strong, independent, social, and the life of the party.

Due to the Covid circumstances there will be no public funeral or service.  Instead we ask that you embrace Judy’s fun-loving spirit and remember her by doing something you know would have put a smile on her face.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in her name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the American Diabetes Association.
