Obituary of Larry Joseph Lee

Mr. Larry Joseph Lee died in St. Petersburg, FL at the age of 73.

Larry Lee is survived by his wife, Deanna Lee, St. Petersburg, FL. His children, Vanessa Wethington – Mt. Washington, KY and Christy Kessler- Somerset, KY. He is preceded in death by his son, Joseph Lee. Mr. Lee has 7 Grandchildren, Emilee Wethington, Sarah Wethington, Meghan Wethington, Holly Kessler, Lauren Kessler, Alexander Lee, Abigail Lee, and Andrew Lee. One Great Grandchild, Braxton Wethington.                                                                                                                     Mr. Lee is survived by 6 siblings-  Everett Lee, Johnny Lee, Mary Hale, C.W. Lee, and Jean Lee, and Roy Lee. Mr. Lee was preceded in death by a sister, Anita Tyler.

Mr. Larry Lee was born on May 15, 1946 in Belmont, KY to Agnes and Bennie Leslie Lee. He graduated from High School at Lebanon Junction High School.  Mr. Lee attended Sullivan Business College. Mr. Lee served his country as a United States Marine and received a purple heart during his time in Vietnam.  During Mr. Lee’s career he worked for the Post Office in St. Petersburg, Florida, and General Electric in Louisville, KY. Mr. Lee was a loving husband, father and grandfather. His children remember him as a Loving and kind father who encouraged them and loved them selflessly. His Grandchildren remember his playful spirit. Mr. Lee was a servant of the Lord and he loved helping people in their time of need. Mr. Lee will be sorely missed by his family and friends.

A Celebration of Life is scheduled for 9:00 AM on September 20, 2019, at the Life Tribute Funeral Home in Gulfport, Florida, with burial in the National Cemetery in Sarasota, Florida. Mr. Lee will be provided with full military honors. As a Kidney Transplant Recipient, Mr. Lee was an avid supporter for the Organ Donation Program and would recommend thoughtful consideration of becoming an organ donor. https://www.donatelife.net/

Pastor Genniser Devega will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Mr. Lee’s life. The family would like to thank the caregiver and hospital staff for their efforts, care, and dedication.
