Obituary of Nancy E Murphy

On Wednesday, April 3rd, 2019, Nancy Elizabeth Murphy loving mother of four children, was peacefully taken from her earthly home to heaven at age 64 from complications of COPD and Parkinsons. 

Nancy was born on April 5th, 1954 in Parkersburg, West Virginia. Nancy was raised in War, West Virginia. She graduated from Big Creek HS. Class of 1973. 

Nancy never met a stranger. She made friends wherever she went. Her childhood nickname and old CB handle was “Sunshine.” Nancy loved her children and grandchildren. Her daily joys included watching Hallmark movies and digging in her little flower beds with her music turned up. 

Nancy was preceded in death by her mother, Marjorie Elizabeth Martin-Murphy, her father, Fredrick Foneburger Murphy. She is survived by her four children, Angela Ogden (m.Vincent), Marjorie Premo, Jodell Hunt, Gregory Johnston and six grandchildren, Jacilyn Farquharson, Gabrielle Hunt, Allison Porter, Michael Porter, Luke Porter and Breanna Queen. A heartfelt thanks to her “family” and caregivers Stephanie, Jacqlyn and Gary Ogden.
